We are searching for a Quality Assurance Technician to join our team at our manufacturing site in Manchester. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker who will proactively improve the quality systems of the company through internal audits, participation in process improvement programs, and interaction with key partners to obtain constructive feedback. This includes monitoring quality of products produced at our manufacturing site as well as products for re-sale and raw materials. The role entails a small amount of responsibility for Health & Safety working with the management team to ensure the site is always audit ready.

We are searching for a Flexographic Print Supervisor to join our print night team at our manufacturing site in Manchester. Must have experience of operating a six to eight colour flexographic printer and experience in wide web printing. Also must have team leader or supervisor experience.

• Responsible to mount and set the printing plate and operate the flexographic print machines • Obtain the correct film specification and quantity before commencing a print run • Set the polythene film reel and carry out efficient job change overs ensuring machine downtime and scrap meets minimum targets • Dispense the volume of ink specified in the job sheet • Monitor the performance of the printing machine ensuring maximum output is achieved at all times • For each job you must perform and document all of the relevant quality control checks in line with the quality policy • Ensure that all finished goods are labelled correctly, stacked and wrapped safely and meet the company’s high presentation standards
Previous printing and factory experience desirable.

Main Duties include:
We are searching for a blown film extrusion operator to join our extrusion team at our manufacturing site in Manchester. The extrusion department is the first stage in Duo’s manufacturing process and is where the raw material is blended and extruded to form the polythene film for a vast range of applications from mailing bags to technical sheeting.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual that wants to work in a fast paced environment. Previous experience is essential and IT literacy is a must. Must have an FLT licence.
The successful candidate will have good time management and organisation skills, works well under pressure and can prioritise effectively to meet time critical deadlines.

• Responsible to set and operate the extrusion machines to produce the film specification specified in the job sheet • Obtain the correct raw materials, cores, pallets, labels, wrapping and banding as specified on the job specification sheet and required to efficiently carry out the job. • Monitor the performance of the extrusion machine ensuring maximum output is achieved at all times • Weigh, record and bail all scrap polythene created for each job • Record the volume of scrap produced during the extrusion process for each job using the job sheet provided • For each job you must perform and document all of the relevant quality control checks in line with the quality policy
