    Production and Operational Support Administrator

    Manchester

    Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 8.00am - 4.00pm (Flexible)

    Salary: Based on experience

    We are searching for a Production and Operational Support Administrator to join our planning team at our manufacturing HQ in Manchester.

    The Production and Operational Support Administrator will assist the Production Manager and Operations Manager with administrative requirements.

    The includes responsibility for monitoring stock levels and material requirements across Duo’s supply chain. Required to provide reports highlighting production data with a focus on production yields, and output investigating as required variances between planned and actual production volumes. The role is also responsible for monitoring and logging progress of live Operations non-conformance investigations ensuring completion of investigations in a timely manner.

    This is a progressive role for a forward-thinking individual looking to progress through to a career in production planning.

    Key Tasks:

    • Update daily production schedules for the three production departments at Duo
    • Provide a daily production update to the Sales Team
    • Monitor imported goods across the global supply chain liaising with shipping agents, log movements and manage required documentation through Duo’s ERP system
    • Log, track and monitor progress of live operational non-conformance investigations
    • Administration and reporting of production data reviewing production targets and actual output
    • Investigate production yield shortages. Report, log and communicate findings to Production Manager
    • Review customer stock lines. Reporting stock levels, forecasts, and usage rates to allow forward production orders to be scheduled
    • Monitor manufacturing material requirements, reporting on shortfalls
    • Provide support in maintaining production data within Duo’s ERP system ensuring it is kept up to date
    • Undertake training to provide supports & cover as needed
    • General office administration duties as and when required

    Previous experience & skills required:

    • Excellent verbal, written & personal communication skills
    • High level of Accuracy and Attention to Detail
    • Excellent organisation and administration skills
    • Able to deal with data and spreadsheets
    • Confident & friendly phone manner

    Flexographic Print Department Supervisor (Day Shift)

    Manchester

    Hours of work: Monday to Thursday

    Salary: Based on Experience

    We are searching for a Flexographic Print Supervisor to join our print team at our manufacturing site in Manchester.  Must have experience of operating a six to eight colour flexographic printer and experience in wide web printing. Also must have team leader or supervisor experience.

    The print department is the second stage in Duo’s manufacturing process and is where the customers design is printed on polythene film before being converted into a cast range of products from mailing bags to technical sheeting.

    • Assist with new staff training, monitoring performance and progress
    • Ensure the Company’s Quality Control Procedures are adhered to and resolve non conforming product as soon as possible. Assist the manager investigating any non-conforming goods producing reports when required

    Quality Assurance Technician

    Manchester

    Hours of work: Monday to Friday

    We are searching for a Quality Assurance Technician to join our team at our manufacturing site in Manchester. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker who will proactively improve the quality systems of the company through internal audits, participation in process improvement programs, and interaction with key partners to obtain constructive feedback. This includes monitoring quality of products produced at our manufacturing site as well as products for re-sale and raw materials. The role entails a small amount of responsibility for Health & Safety working with the management team to ensure the site is always audit ready.

    Key Tasks:

    • Develop standardized production, quality, and customer-service standards
    • Identify potential risks before they become a problem, focusing on root cause analysis and preventive action
    • Perform internal quality audits and compile detailed reports of findings
    • Build a strong team through coaching, mentoring, specific training and performance evaluations
    • Chair Quality committee meetings
    • Assist in the maintenance of standards and accreditation’s which include ISO, Sedex and IiP

    Blown Film Extrusion Operative (Night Shift)

    Manchester

    Hours of work: 4 nights on / 4 nights off, 7:00pm to 7:00am

    Salary: Based on Experience

    Main Duties include:

    We are searching for a blown film extrusion operator to join our extrusion team at our manufacturing site in Manchester. The extrusion department is the first stage in Duo’s manufacturing process and is where the raw material is blended and extruded to form the polythene film for a vast range of applications from mailing bags to technical sheeting.

    We are looking for an enthusiastic individual that wants to work in a fast paced environment. Previous experience is essential and IT literacy is a must. Must have an FLT licence.

    The successful candidate will have good time management and organisation skills, works well under pressure and can prioritise effectively to meet time critical deadlines.

    Key Tasks:

    • Responsible to set and operate the extrusion machines to produce the film specification specified in the job sheet
    • Obtain the correct raw materials, cores, pallets, labels, wrapping and banding as specified on the job specification sheet and required to efficiently carry out the job.
    • Monitor the performance of the extrusion machine ensuring maximum output is achieved at all times
    • Weigh, record and bail all scrap polythene created for each job
    • Record the volume of scrap produced during the extrusion process for each job using the job sheet provided
    • For each job you must perform and document all of the relevant quality control checks in line with the quality policy
