QVC
A low carbon, plastic packaging solution for our auto bagging machine which also meets the UK Plastic Packaging Tax requirement of a minimum of 30% recycled content. The solution must align with QVC’s commitment to reduce their global carbon footprint.
QVC introduced an automated packing system in their fulfilment operations. We provided them with our specially manufactured auto bagging film, designed to be fully compatible with their automated packing machine. Additionally, we installed a baler to facilitate the collection of any waste generated during the automated packing process.
The waste collected from QVC is recycled back to granular form in a closed loop recycling system and utilised in the production of brand new QVC auto bagging film. Notably, QVC’s auto bagging film contains a minimum of 30% recycled material meeting the UK Plastic Packaging tax requirements.
By replacing virgin polyethylene with 30% recycled material, we significantly contributed to reducing QVC’s global carbon footprint. Recycled material inherently has a significantly lower carbon footprint. What’s more, our auto bagging film is recyclable within our closed loop recycling system, further reflecting QVC’s commitment to a circular economy.
