    Account Manager

    Manchester

    Hours of work: 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday

    Salary: Based on Experience

    Main Duties include:

    We are looking for an experienced account manager to join our internal sales team. The successful candidate will have exceptional communication skills as well as a strong ability to connect with clients. They must possess excellent organisational skills to effectively manage client accounts and prioritise tasks.  

    Experience:

    • Account management: Minimum 2 years 
    • B2B sales: 1 year (preferred) 
    • Sales: 2 years (preferred) 
    • Experience within the packaging industry, polythene packaging would be advantageous 
    • Have shown stability in previous roles and be committed to building a strong future career 
    • Have at least two years’ experience and proven success of sales disciplines and a thorough understanding of the sales process (introduction, qualification, presentation, demonstration, offer, negotiation, close & follow-up). 
    • Be passionate about sales, have a customer-centric approach and a ‘can do’ attitude. 
    • Be proficient in working with CRM systems, MS Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and social media platforms

    Key Tasks:

    • Working with new and existing clients to ensure that we deliver the highest level of service 
    • Maintaining regular contact with clients to understand their priorities and objectives 
    • Attending client meetings where needed 
    • Liaise with our internal delivery teams to ensure we’re achieving client objectives

    Blown Film Extrusion Operative (Day Shift)

    Manchester

    Hours of work: Two week rotation; Week 1 Mon, Tue, Sat, Sun and Week 2 Wed, Thurs Fri. 7:00am to 7:00pm.

    Salary: Based on Experience

    Main Duties include:

    We are searching for a blown film extrusion operator to join our extrusion team at our manufacturing site in Manchester. The extrusion department is the first stage in Duo’s manufacturing process and is where the raw material is blended and extruded to form the polythene film for a vast range of applications from mailing bags to technical sheeting.

    We are looking for an enthusiastic individual that wants to work in a fast paced environment. Previous experience is essential. Must have an FLT licence.

    The successful candidate will have good time management and organisation skills, works well under pressure and can prioritise effectively to meet time critical deadlines.

    What's on offer:

    • Obtain the correct raw materials, cores, pallets, labels, wrapping and banding as specified on the job specification sheet and required to efficiently carry out the job.
    • Monitor the performance of the extrusion machine ensuring maximum output is achieved at all times
    • Weigh, record and bail all scrap polythene created for each job
    • Record the volume of scrap produced during the extrusion process for each job using the job sheet provided
    • For each job you must perform and document all of the relevant quality control checks in line with the quality policy
