Night 12 Hour Shift Flexographic Print Operator

Manchester

Hours of work: Monday to Thursday

Salary: Based on Experience

We are searching for a flexographic print operator to join our print team at our manufacturing site in Manchester. The print department is the second stage in Duo’s manufacturing process and is where the customers design is printed on polythene film before being converted into a vast range of products from mailing bags to technical sheeting.

Key Tasks:

• Responsible to mount and set the printing plate and operate the flexographic print machines
• Obtain the correct film specification and quantity before commencing a print run
• Set the polythene film reel and carry out efficient job change overs ensuring machine downtime and scrap meets minimum targets
• Dispense the volume of ink specified in the job sheet
• Monitor the performance of the printing machine ensuring maximum output is achieved at all times
• For each job you must perform and document all of the relevant quality control checks in line with the quality policy
• Ensure that all finished goods are labelled correctly, stacked and wrapped safely and meet the company’s high presentation standards

Previous printing and factory experience desirable.
