Get That Trend
A packaging solution that is re-usable, reflects the Get that Trend brand and reduces their carbon footprint.
Working with online retailer Get That Trends team we designed a range of mailing bags that ticked all 3 boxes. The packaging design was kept minimal and modern using crisp white film featuring a light grey print and bold statement. To reduce the carbon footprint of the mailing bag, we introduced a minimum of 50% recycled polythene content. Every 1 tonne of virgin LDPE material use avoided is the equivalent embodied carbon saving of 2.621tCO2. A second glue strip was added to the mailing bag design making this re-usable and easy for customers to return unwanted garments. This also eradicates the need for a new packaging item which helps save even more CO2.
Thanks to our closed loop recycling system Get That Trend are collecting and returning the waste polythene generated by their business processes. This helps keep valuable polyethylene waste in the economy which in turn helps the industry reduce its dependency on new virgin materials. As well as less waste going to landfill Get that Trends new range meets the new plastic tax criteria of a minimum of 30% recycled content by April 2022.
