Duo help kick-start a clothes revolution with Cash for Kids 

Did you know around 1.75million tonnes of clothing waste is produced in the UK every year? Around 1.2million tonnes of this waste is also sent unnecessarily to landfill.

Greater Manchester charity, Cash for Kids, launched Wear, Share, Care campaign for Global Recycling Day to kick-start a clothes recycling revolution and help support disadvantaged children.

As a supplier to many retail brands and Manchester being our home, the Duo team were keen to help. Throughout March the team cleared out their wardrobes and donated unwanted t-shirts, jeans, shirts & shoes.  

In total the team collected 61kg of unwanted clothing.  

The good quality clothing is issued to some of the poorest developing nations in the world as well as disadvantaged children here in the UK. Items that are unable to be worn are weighed and cash issued for the fabric. The money raised helps fund basic essentials for children and families.
