Ever wondered what we make in the UK and how you could join the manufacturing industry?

Duo will be opening its doors to local people looking to explore a career in manufacturing as part of Make UK’s National Manufacturing Day celebrations on July 7th 2022. 

Duo will showcase potential careers and will be giving tours of the manufacturing facility plus demonstrations of machinery and processes throughout the day. 

British manufacturing companies are opening their doors in a UK-wide Open House on July 7th 2022 to give their local communities the chance to see first-hand the potential careers and jobs on offer in our exciting and diverse sector. Duo is delighted to announce it is taking part in this year’s inaugural event, organised by manufacturing trade body Make UK. The aim is to help encourage all age groups from school leavers to more experienced workers looking at re-skilling to consider the possibilities of a career in manufacturing as well as helping local communities understand more about the businesses on their doorstep. 

During the fun day, visitors to Duo will learn about the different roles and careers available and see first-hand how mailing bags are made. They will also be able to talk directly to members of staff about how the company works and what opportunities might be available for them.
